ASME Pressure Codes Simplified

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will teach an overview of the major ASME Codes with particular focus on The BPV Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes, The piping codes and related Standards. The major themes will be to discover how they interact with each other to establish a working pressure technology system.

The course discusses the historical development of the ASME Codes including the why it was developed as separate The student will learn how these codes work in cocert.

It discusses the overall objectives of economical safe design, the control of materials, the oversight of construction of a particular system, and the methods of assurance that the objectives are met.

It is loosely based on the contents of the two books on the subjects of ASME CODE SIMPLIFIED, one on pressure vessels, the other on piping systems and pipelines by the instructor of the course.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
It is to show how the codes can help them in the conduct of their business.  The student will learn which sections of the Code to use for what part of their business and have an understanding of how it is just one integrated system to make their business easier and safer.
