Training is highly beneficial to organizations and employees resulting in better customer service, work safety and productivity and lowering employee turnover.
TIEC offers training courses to enhance quality and technical related knowledge. All of our courses are conducted by qualified and competent TIEC staff members or third-party training professionals with specific credentials applicable to his/her field of study.
- TIEC courses are not associated with API-U, TIEC produces high quality course content to meet the unique needs of both the industry and the customer, taught by subject matter experts who have the most up to date knowledge (API and other industry standards) to save our customers time and money.
- Customers receive TIEC’s “Certificate of Completion” with the number of training hours noted, there are currently no specific training certification standards required for the API Q1, Q2 or Internal Auditor Training programs.
TIEC offers its facilities as a venue for outside customers to host their own training and events. With four unique rooms for a total square footage of 4,270 feet of event space, accommodations can be made for a variety of needs. Built in audio/visual features are available to create the perfect learning environment.
The Houston Training and Conference Center is conveniently located in the Greater Greenspoint District of north Houston, and in close proximity to Bush Intercontinental Airport. Our facilities are situated on the south side of the frontage road of Beltway 8 (also known as North Sam Houston Parkway), between Imperial Valley and the Hardy Toll Road.
We offer catering arrangements through a select, preferred list of outside caterers. Based on these arrangements, we are able to accommodate requests for a variety of meal services including hot or continental breakfasts, deli-style working lunches, hot entree buffets, and a la carte items. Menus are available upon request. Please contact the Training Center Coordinator for more information.
The Houston Training and Conference Center is equipped with some of the very best in-house Audio Visual technology available. Some of these features include: Built in LCD projectors, 8′ drop-down screens, house sound system, high-speed wireless internet access, wireless speaker/conference phone, mobile white boards, and our custom designed multi-media lectern.
Additionally, we offer a variety of onsite Business Support Services such as faxing, photocopies, printing, basic business accessories (notepads, tent cards, name badges, etc.), and free local phone calls.
As a courtesy, the Houston Training and Conference Center (HTCC) is able to extend TIEC’s special discount guest room rate to clients and visitors from our preferred hotelier, the Park Inn by Radisson Houston North Hotel. Please note that all prices are subject to availability, quoted per room, per night and exclusive of hotel taxes. To take advantage of these savings, you must contact the hotel directly either via website or by phone per our HTCC Hotel Roster. TIEC and the Houston Training and Conference Center are unable to secure your reservations and cannot guarantee availability or prices.
In the event the hotel rooms or rates are unavailable, you may need to make your lodging arrangements with another hotel. TIEC and the Houston Training and Conference Center can only recommend our preferred hotelier.
Safety & Security
Safety and security are two very important considerations in choosing any facility. Although nothing can absolutely guarantee anyone’s personal safety or security, TIEC and the Houston Training and Conference Center can offer some peace of mind with our limited entry access into the facilities, and by requiring each guest to sign in before entering. The main building provides TIEC and the Houston Training and Conference Center with onsite building security staff, cameras, and controlled entry access before and after hours.
TIEC offers its training courses customized to fit the specific customer’s needs based on industry requirements. Courses can be taught at TIEC headquarters or onsite at the customer location.
